Cranberry sauce was the one thing I had the hardest time giving up for the holidays when I first went low carb. Now you don’t have too either!

Thanksgiving is right around the corner and I wanted to be sure that you guys have what you need to make a low carb holiday fantastic. This cranberry sauce is one of them.

I love cranberries and they are so crazy nutritious! I also discovered that they are considered a low carb fruit. So this year, I took that idea and ran with it and ended up with this low carb cranberry sauce recipe.

I also don’t know about you but I feel like Thanksgiving dinner NEEDS something colder with the rest of the hot dishes that are typical in Thanksgiving.

Between this and our Broccoli Bacon Salad we are set for Thanksgiving and cold side dishes!

Serving Keto Cranberry Sauce Hot or Cold

This is something I found interesting. I know people who prefer this at room temperature and others who prefer it chilled. I personally LOVE it chilled. There are so many other hot dishes in the Thanksgiving dinner that I feel like you NEED something cold to balance it out.

This dish works both ways for whatever temperature you choose. But first, all you need is a few simple ingredients.

How to Store Low Carb Cranberry Sauce

We recommend storing in the refrigerator in a sealed container for up to 5 days. You can also store in the freeze for up to 3 months.

HOW MANY NET CARBS PER Cranberry Sauce SERVING

4 Net Carb per serving of our low carb cranberry sauce. Each serving is about 1/4 cup. I may have gone a little overboard on my portions, but it beats the alternative of pigging out on the high sugar/carb stuff any day. It was just so good!!! I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as me and my family did.

Note: The Net Carbs per serving is by subtracting the sugar alcohol erythritol.

My family does subtract the sugar alcohols and I’ll continue to provide that sugar alcohol grams above the nutrition card below and you can decide for yourself if you want to follow that.

If you are new to this Low Carb/Keto lifestyle and are unsure what we are talking about please feel free to read up more on Net Carbs and why people do or don’t subtract sugar alcohols.

Does it thicken on it’s own, and can this be placed in a mold? I have never cooked real cranberries so I’m excited to try this!

It is a thick sauce but I’m not sure if would hold well in a mold. If you added a bit of gelatin though I don’t see why it wouldn’t! Enjoy! The fresh real cranberries make a world of difference in our opinion.
